Our approach: Work with local populations

We use two key approaches to carry out our mission: technical assistance and impact investing.

Technical assistance

Support for financial institutions of all sizes to address their challenges
Financial education to help clients manage their finances and make the most of available services
Support for governments in adopting public policies that meet the needs of their populations

Impact investing

Investments that support the performance, growth and sound governance of inclusive financial institutions selected for their strong potential to generate impact
CAN$59 million invested over 30 years in 50 institutions, improving access to financial services for more than one million families
CAN$88 million Aequitas Fund to support post-pandemic economic recovery and achieve sustainable development goals
