Jean-Xavier Escot
Practice Leader, Business Development Services
“My career has been shaped by advanced studies in administration, a 24-year career in finance, including 7 years as an account manager at Desjardins, and proficiency in several languages. Since 2012, the year I joined the DID team, I've shared my know-how in nearly a dozen countries in Africa and Latin America, supporting inclusive finance institutions in their activities to finance and support agricultural and business entrepreneurs.”

Lori Brabant-Hudon
Project Manager
“Ever since I studied educational technology in the early 2010s, I dreamed of working in international development. I first participated in the development of Desjardins's financial education programs in Quebec, then joined the DID team in 2017: my dream was coming true! Today, after more than 25 missions in 10 countries and a 2-year stay in Vietnam, my work still brings me as much satisfaction every day.”

Our international contracts usually run for 24 months, but financial backers ultimately decide on the duration of assignments.
We sometimes offer internships at our head office or in the countries where we work. Since internship opportunities are limited, the best way to stay informed is to follow DID on Facebook external link to site or LinkedIn external link to site.
Although DID doesn’t offer regular volunteer overseas assignments, there are times when we need help with our technical assistance activities. In these cases, volunteers are given an opportunity to share expertise acquired during their professional career.
Our volunteers are generally pre-retirees, retirees or experienced members of a professional association who are willing to give two to four weeks of their time to carry out support missions abroad.
